Beer & BBQ 2010
The burning LBG Vienna is inviting YOU to the 8th edition of its traditional BBQ! You love to spend a sunny day at the Danube Island, having a BBQ, beer and playing games? You would hate to miss the legendary party afterwards?
So what are you waiting for? Don’t be shy and visit us in Vienna on 5th of June! A day of sun, fun and barbeque at the Danube. We will provide traditional BBQ food, drinks and games and also invite you to put on your friendly face, turn on your party mode and maybe bring also some traditional food from your own country.
Don't forget to take your swim suits/swim trunks!

Here it goes (see map with directions)
If you arrive by train at Südbahnhof, take the subway line U1 (direction 'Leopoldau') to 'Kaisermühlen-VIC' and then take the bus line 91A (direction 'Lobgrundstrasse') or 92A (direction 'Seidelbastgasse') to Dampfschiffhaufen.
If you arrive by train at Westbahnhof, take the subway line U3 (direction 'Simmering') to 'Stephansplatz', then the subway line U1 (direction 'Leopoldau') to 'Kaisermühlen-VIC' and from there the bus line 91A (direction 'Lobgrundstrasse' or 'Olhafen') or 92A (direction 'Seidelbastgasse') toDampfschiffhaufen. (actually Kaisermühlen-VIC is terminus station for both bus lines)
When you get off the bus you have to cross the highway over a metallic bridge and then the BBQ place is down on the right side, next to the Danube.
And, don't forget to buy an appropriate ticket - for one way it costs 1,80 EUR and for 24h 5,70 EUR (look for the red "VOR" ticket automata)
If you are travelling by car, get off the A22 at 'Kaisermühlen'. There you'll find a parking place. The BBQ place will be a few hundred meters downstream from there. Don't forget your GPS ;)
